On the 31st May florist Giulia Rinaldi from Croco Studio joined us on an (atypically?) bright summer morning for a flower arranging workshop at the Completedworks showroom. Giulia shared some notes on her creative process and details of her flower selection for the class. |

"I find inspiration by completely surrendering to the natural material of the flower — the texture and colours guide me. A particular shaped stem is usually where my arrangement starts. I create shapes with my arrangement spontaneously— a vase, a vessel, is an integral part of my composition. [Completedworks and I] share the love of creating experimental shapes by using different materials."

I. Peony Season: May - June Each year I look forward to May, which means Peony season. I enjoy the different variety and colours — for this class I choose two varieties — Peony Lactiflora and Peony Etched Salmon — with a frilly centre.

II. English Sweetpea Season: April - June Sweetly scented, what I enjoy the most about sweetpea is how frilly they are.

III. Poppy Season: June - August The most impressive quality of this variety of poppies is how long the stems are. It's very magical to see how flowers blossom from a little bud, they are not a long lasting flower but there is such beauty in this too.
