 Artist Bio:

Aoibhín Maguire, b.1997 Belfast, Northern Ireland is a painter whose work explores the overlap between the actual and fictitious in our everyday lives. She obtained her BA in Fine Art from Lancaster University and graduated from the Royal College of Art with an MA in painting.

Rendering complex subject matter in vibrant colour, Maguire incorporates surreal aspects to create a hybrid world where reality and imagination coexist. Recurring motifs and the healing properties of colour transform everyday anxieties into a cohesive narrative that acknowledges the chaos of existence. Ultimately, her interest in the flux between emotional extremes underpins her practice, as fear and desperation run parallel to hope and love.

Aoibhín Maguire lives and works in London.
